ABOUT Pita Bread Fries... RECIPE

An interesting twist to the leftover pita bread by me. These are easy to make and a perfect snack idea for everyone. Crunchy to the last bite, these are a must try ones. Eventhough they are deep fried, they use up little oil and hence healthy too. Happy Snacking !!!!!!!!

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Pita bread leftovers 4
  2. Salt 1/2 tsp
  3. Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  4. Chaat masala 1 tbsp
  5. Red chilli powder 1 tsp (optional)
  6. Oil to fry 3 cups


  1. First of all, cut the pita into thin long strips.
  2. Use a kitchen scissor and cut the strips either very thin or little thicker.
  3. Deep fry them in hot oil in batches.
  4. These will be done in about 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Keep a watch while frying.
  6. Drain them on an absorbent paper.
  7. Sprinkle the spices and squeeze lemon juice as per taste.
  8. Serve these crunchy fries at tea-time.
