ABOUT Tawa Rotis/Chapatis... RECIPE

An everyday easy to do soft and well roasted rotis or chapatis for breakfast. However these can be made for lunch or dinner too. Extremely soft and supple. Healthy and wholesome too.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Whole wheat flour 3 cups
  2. Ghee or oil 1 tbsp
  3. Warm milk 1/2 cup
  4. Water 3/4th cup or as required
  5. Salt 1 tsp


  1. Knead a smooth dough adding all the ingredients to a mixing bowl.
  2. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a tawa or a griddle.
  4. Divide the dough into balls of equal size either medium or big.
  5. Roll them and roast them using oil as desired.
  6. Roast them well on both the sides pressing a little with a clean kitchen towel.
  7. Fluffy super soft rotis are done easily in just a few minutes.
  8. The dough that remains can be stored in an airtight container for a day in the refrigerator.
  9. Serve hot with any side dish for a healthy breakfast.

Can I add butter in the place of ghee?
