ABOUT Chocolate Mousse RECIPE

This classic French dessert is easy to replicate at home

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 200gms good-quality dark chocolate roughly chopped
  2. 6 egg whites
  3. ĵ tsp lemon juice
  4. 40g sugar
  5. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  6. 50 gms whipping cream
  7. 3 tblsp icing sugar
  8. chocolate curls to decorate


  1. 1. Start by melting the chocolate on a double boiler or microwave. Stir to make it glossy and smooth. Keep aside.
  2. 2. Whip the egg whites with sugar until soft peaks, add the vanilla and sugar to it.
  3. 3. Fold the egg white mixture into the chocolate and mix gently making sure that you do not lose a lot of air.
  4. 4. Now whip the cream with the icing sugar. Set aisde
  5. 5. Spoon the chocolate mousse into shot glasses and top with cream and chocolate curls. Refrigerate for atleast two hours before serving.
