yet another breakfast dish where poori is only made with masala. we call it masala, but really it s a tasty & simple dish without any masala or spices. But nowadays people make poori with so many other sidedish.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Maida 1/2 cup
  3. Salt
  4. Oil 2 tsp
  5. water to make dough.
  6. Oil to deep fry.
  7. For potato masala
  8. potato.2
  9. onion sliced 2 big
  10. Green chillies 3 chopped
  11. ginger chopped a small piece.
  12. Turmeric 2 pinch
  13. Salt.
  14. oil 2 tbsp
  15. Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  16. urud dal a pinch
  17. red chillies 2 chopped
  18. Curry leaves.

Instructions

  1. mix two flours. add oil & salt. mix well.
  2. add enough water to make a smooth dough.
  3. keep aside.
  4. make small balls .roll into pooris.
  5. heat a kadai with enough oil to deep fry pooris.
  6. fry pooris one by one.
  7. For the masala.
  8. boil potato in cooker ,adding water & remove water & cut into small pieces.
  9. heat a pan with some oil. put mustard seeds , uruddal & curry leaves. fry till done.
  10. then add sliced onion , green chillies & ginger. fry well
  11. then add boiled potato pieces , along with turmeric & salt.
  12. add some water. let it simmer for some more time. remove from fire.
  13. serve hot with fried pooris.
