Tamatar ki chutney

Ingredients to make Tamatar ki chutney

  • Red tomatoes 0.5 kg
  • 250g sugar
  • 2 spoon mustard oil
  • Panchforan (methidaana, saunf, rai, zeera, kalonji)
  • 1/2 tspn turmeric Powder
  • salt 1/4 spn
  • 1 tspn red chilli powder
  • 2 spoon raisins
  • 1 spoon grated ginger
  • 2 finely chopped green chillies

How to make Tamatar ki chutney

  1. Heat oil in a pan. After the oil is hot, put panchforan. Add ginger and green chillies.
  2. Put chopped tomatoes and stir. Put turmeric, salt, red chilli powder and raisins. Cover with lid and cook for 5 mins on low flame.
  3. After 5 minutes, remove the lid. Put sugar and cook till it thickens.
  4. Turn off the gas. Tamatar ki chutney is ready.

My Tip:

If you dont like tomato peel, blanch the tomatoes and then chop.
