Podis are healthy and guilt free accompaniments which go well with Rice, Idli and Dosas. They have a long shelf life and unlike pickles they are oil free and quite healthy. It can be optionally topped with Sesame oil or ghee. Coriander seeds have amazing medical properties. They aid digestion, help in keeping kidneys healthy and good for anemic and diabetic. Dhanyalu podi is a spicy powder made with coriander seeds and goes well with rice. It is very good for digestion and increasing appetite.
