Ingredients to make Wheat flour upma

  • Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  • water 2 cup
  • salt 1 tesp
  • ghee 2 Tbsp
  • Carrom seeds 1/2 tesp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • Whole red chilies 2
  • onion 1
  • tomato 1/2
  • Green coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  • lemon juice 1 tbsp

How to make Wheat flour upma

  1. Sizzle Carrom seeds, Asafoetida and whole red chillies in ghee.
  2. Add wheat flour and roast till nice aroma spreads out.
  3. Add boiled water and salt and cook stiring continuously till thickens.
  4. Remove to a serving dish.
  5. Top with finely chopped onion, tomato and green coriander leaves.
  6. Sprinkle lemon juice over it and serve hot.
