Chinese burger is a great combination of chinese cutlet.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For cutlets
  2. 4 boiled and mashed potatoes
  3. 1/4 cup finely chopped spring onion
  4. 1/4 cup finely chopped Spring garlic
  5. 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
  6. 1/2 cup finely chopped Capcicum
  7. 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
  8. 5 crushed Garlic cloves
  9. 1 tbspoon Soya sauce
  10. 1 tbspoon Chilly sauce
  11. 1 tspoon red chilly flakes
  12. 1 tspoon Black pepper
  13. 1 tbspoon Cornflour dissolved in 3/4 water
  14. 4 tbspoon Rice flour for rolling cutlets
  15. Oil for frying cutlets
  16. Salt according to taste
  17. For burgers
  18. 4 Burger buns
  19. 4 tbspoon veg. Mayonese
  20. 8 onion slices
  21. 4 cabbage leaves
  22. 4 tbspoon Melted butter


  1. Heat the oil in a pan.
  2. Add the garlic and saute on a medium flame for few seconds.
  3. Add spring onion,spring garlic, capsicum and carrot and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Add soya sauce and chilly sauce .
  5. Add black pepper and red chilly flakes.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Add the potatoes and salt and cook on a medium flame for 2 more minutes.
  8. Remove from the flame.
  9. Divide it into 4 equal portion.
  10. Shape each portion into a circle shape.
  11. Dip each cutlet in the cornflour mixture
  12. Roll it in rice flour.
  13. Heat the oil in a frying pan and deep fry each cutlet.
  14. For burger
  15. Cut each burger bun horizontally into two.
  16. Apply 1 tsp of butter insides of each half of the burger bun and toast them.
  17. Apply 1 tbspoon of veg mayonese spread on the buttered side of all the bun halves.
  18. Place a lower half of the bun on a serving plate.
  19. Place 1 cabbage leaf, onion ring and cutlet over it.
  20. Cover an upper half of the bun with the buttered side facing down .
  21. Press it lightly.
  22. Serves immideatly with ketchup.
