Coriander Lemon Rice

Ingredients to make Coriander Lemon Rice

  • Cook Basmati Rice (Paka Huwa Basmati chawal) - 250 grams
  • Finely Sliced onions (Barik Kati Pyaz) - 1 Medium Size
  • Finely Chopped Green coriander (Barik Kata Hara Dhaniya) - 2 Bunches
  • ginger (Adrak) - 2 to 3 one inch pieces
  • garlic Cloves (Lasoon Ki Kaliyan) - 10 to 12
  • green chillies (Hari Mirch) - 5 to 6
  • Black cumin Seeds (Shahi Jeera) - 1 Tea Spoon
  • Whole Spice Powder (Garam Masala) - ½ tea Spoon
  • cashew Nuts (Kaaju) - 50 Grams
  • Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder) - ½ tea Spoon
  • lemon Juice (Nimbu Ka Ras) - 2 Table Spoon
  • oil - As Per Requirement
  • Salt (namak) - According to Taste

How to make Coriander Lemon Rice

  1. Add finely chopped coriander, green chillies, garlic, ginger and little salt in a mix jar. Make a fine paste and keep aside
  2. Heat oil in frying non-stick pan or kadai, once the oil is hot add the black cumin seeds and cook them till the oil get the flavour of the seeds
  3. Add cashew nuts and cook till they become golden brown
  4. Now add finely sliced onions and cook till they become translucent or pink
  5. Add turmeric powder, coriander paste and cook till oil get separated
  6. At this stage add whole spice powder and season it with salt according to taste and cook for another 2 minutes
  7. Finally add the cooked rice and lemon juice mix all and cook for 2 minutes
  8. Now the dish is ready can be served with masala dahi and salad
