Tandoori tikka

Ingredients to make Tandoori tikka

  • 1 red bell pepper, cut in 1 inch square pieces
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut in 1 inch square pieces
  • 2 onions cut in 1 inch pieces
  • 1 cup paneer cubes
  • Marination Ingredients:
  • oil as required
  • 6 tbsp besan
  • 3 tbsp curd
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp kastoori methi
  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

How to make Tandoori tikka

  1. Heat oil in a pan and roast the besan till the fragrance develops.
  2. Take a bowl, add the roasted besan, curd, jeera powder, black pepper, kastoori methi, garam masala, turmeric powder, lemon juice and salt. Mix properly and add paneer cubes. Toss well and keep aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Take the skewers to make the tikka. Arrange the pieces of marinated paneer and veggies as per choice.
  4. After arranging the pieces, spray a little over the pieces. Heat a tandoor at a high flame.
  5. Place the skewers over it. Cook till the pieces change colour and get tender.
  6. Serve hot.

My Tip:

Sprinkle oregano to enhance the taste.
