About Masala Oats... Recipe

A super awesome one pot meal for breakfast or brunch. I serve this for dinner too many a times. The most loved one pot meal by my family and an irresistible one too. Spice it up with your favourite ones to add that whip of freshness to it. A super delectable one that can never be missed. Try this every alternate days for breakfast because it is not only healthy but a tummy satisfying meal. Full of nourishing fibres and a perfect one to kickstart your day.

Masala Oats...

Ingredients to make Masala Oats...

  • Organic oats 2 cups
  • onion finely chopped 1
  • tomatoes finely chopped 2
  • salt 1 tsp
  • ginger grated 1 tsp
  • garlic mince 1 tsp
  • red chilli POWDER 1 TBSP
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • capsicum finely chopped 1
  • Spring onions finely chopped 1 cup
  • coriander leaves chopped 1/2 cup
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • Pure ghee 1 tsp
  • lemon juice 1 tbsp

How to make Masala Oats...

  1. Heat oil in a deep cooking pan.
  2. Saute ginger and garlic first.
  3. Followed by onion until translucent.
  4. Add tomatoes next followed by the spices.
  5. Mix well and cover.
  6. Cook until they are done.
  7. Now add the veggies.
  8. Stir them all and saute for a minute or two on medium high heat.
  9. Finally add in the oats, salt and 2-3 cups of water.
  10. Simmer this on low heat for 6-8 minutes.
  11. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with lots of coriander.
  12. Squeeze some lemon juice too.
  13. Drizzle a teaspoon of ghee just before serving.
  14. Serve this piping hot for a delicious breakfast or brunch or even dinner.
