This is a quick recipe of a delicious cutlet made with dried prawns and sweet potatoes to serve your guests for any dinner party.

Sweet potato & dry prawns cutlet.

Ingredients to make Sweet potato & dry prawns cutlet.

  • Boiled & mashed sweet potato 1 cup
  • Dry prawns 1/4 cup. ( if grind it , it should be 1 1/2 tbsp )
  • onion 1 finely
  • green chillies 2 chopped
  • garlic paste 1/4 tsp
  • chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric 2 pinch
  • salt
  • Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  • coriander leaves 2 tbsp chopped.
  • Well beaten egg 1
  • Bread crumbs 1/2 cup
  • oil to deep fry.

How to make Sweet potato & dry prawns cutlet.

  1. Fry prawns in a tsp of oil, till golden brown. Then grind it. That powder should be about 1 1/2 tbsp. .
  2. Heat a kadai with 1 tbsp of oil. Add garlic paste. Fry.
  3. Then add onion & green chillies. Fry for a min.
  4. Then add ground prawns along with chilli powder , coriander powder , turmeric, garam masala & a little salt. Fry for sometime.
  5. Then add coriander leaves. Stir well.
  6. Remove & add the cooked mixture to the mashed sweet potato . Mix well with hands. Add salt if necessary.
  7. Make balls in any shape. Coat with eggs & roll in bread crumbs.
  8. Deep fry in oil.
  9. Serve hot with ketchup.

My Tip:

Be careful while adding salt as prawns might ve salt in it.
