Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Unsalted butter - 113grams + greasing tray
  2. All purpose flour - 125grams
  3. Unsweetened cocoa powder - 30grams
  4. Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Semi sweet chocolate chips - 1 cup (optional)
  7. Semi sweet or bitter sweet chocolate - 227 grams
  8. Sugar - 250 Grams
  9. Eggs - 3


  1. Pre heat the oven to 175 degree Celsius.
  2. Brush a 9'inch baking tray with butter.
  3. Line bottom and two sides with a strip of parchment paper, leaving a 2'inch over hang on the sides and keep it aside.
  4. In a bowl whisk the flour, Coco powder,baking powder, salt and set aside.
  5. Place butter and chocolate in a heat proof bowl set over (not in) a saucepan of gently simmering water.
  6. Heat and stirring occasionally until smooth for 2-3minutes and remove from the flame.
  7. Add sugar to the chocolatebutter mix and combine well.
  8. Then add eggs and mix to combine.
  9. Now add the flour mix just until moistened don't over mix.
  10. Add chocolate chips.
  11. Transfer batter to the prepared pan smooth top.
  12. Bake for 40 - 55 mintues until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
  13. Cool it for 30minutes. Lift the brownies out of the pan, transfer to a rack and cool it completely (with the paper)
  14. Cut into squares. Store it in a air tight container at room temperature upto 2days
  15. Yummiest when served with ice cream.
