ABOUT basundi RECIPE

Easy to make and yet very tasty to eat dessert. Add as many nuts to increase the flavour.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 500 ml milk
  2. 1/4 cup suagr
  3. 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
  4. 1 tbsp chopped almonds
  5. 1 tbsp chopped cashews
  6. 1 tsp chopped pistachios
  7. 10-15 saffron strands

Instructions

  1. Take milk in heavy bottom pan and bring it to boil .
  2. Add saffron strands and chopped nuts and let it simmer on low to medium flame with occasional stirring and scraping the sides.
  3. Let it simmer till milk is reduced to 1/3 it’s original quantity and thick in consistency.
  4. Add sugar and cardamom powder and stir till sugar dissolves.
  5. Take off the flame and let it cool.
  6. Garnish with more chopped nuts and serve.
