About Shakar Kand Ka Kees Recipe

Very tasty traditional Maharashtrian falahari/ fasting meal from Sweet Potato, easy to prepare , ready in minutes and yum in taste

Shakar Kand Ka Kees

Ingredients to make Shakar Kand Ka Kees

  • Peeled and grated Sweet potato 4 cups
  • ghee 1 tablespoon
  • jeera 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped green chilly 2
  • Roasted Ground peanuts powder 1 tablespoon
  • red chilly powder to taste
  • salt to taste
  • sugar 1 teaspoon
  • lemon juice 1 to 2 teaspoon

How to make Shakar Kand Ka Kees

  1. Peel sweet potato , and grate .. put in some water to avoid blackening
  2. Heat ghee in a pan , crackle jeera , add chopped green chilly, red chilly powder and roasted Ground peanuts powder , sauté for a while
  3. Squeeze out excess water from sweet potato
  4. Add to pan in ready tadka
  5. Mix well , adjust salt and cook covered for next 5 minutes
  6. When it's cooked .. Add sugar and lemon juice .. mix well amd garnish with some chopped coriander and serve hot
  7. Enjoy fasting feasting
