ABOUT Stuffed Bread Parcels...(Veg) RECIPE

An evening snack or a perfect brunch, these parcels are a yummy treat. These are not only easy to make but also tastes delicious and can be stuffed with cheese or even chicken or mutton mince. The options are many but the taste remains the same.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Bread slices with sides trimmed 12
  2. FOR THE STUFFING ; 2 cups Mixed veggies chopped
  3. 1 tsp Salt
  4. 1 tbsp Chilli flakes
  5. 1 tbsp Chilli garlic sauce
  6. 1 tsp Dijon mustard paste
  7. 1 Onion chopped
  8. 1 tsp Butter
  9. FOR THE COATING ; 3 Eggs beaten
  10. 1/4 th cup milk
  11. All purpose flour 2 tbsp and water 1 tbsp to make a thick paste
  12. Breadcrumbs 1 cup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim the bread slices at first.
  2. In a pan, heat butter and saute the onion first.
  3. Add in the rest of the veggies like corn, capsicum, olives and mushrooms.
  4. Followed by chilli flakes, chilli garlic sauce and the mustard paste.
  5. You can add even beans and cauliflower florets.
  6. Season with some salt and saute all for just about 2 minutes.
  7. Switch off the flame and let it cool down.
  8. Take a slice of bread, top it up with the filling and close it with an another slice of bread.
  9. Use water or all purpose flour paste to seal the edges
  10. Season the beaten eggs with some salt and pepper as per taste.
  11. Dip these slices in the egg mix and deep fry on medium flame.
  12. Breadcrumbs can also be used for coating the parcels. However it is optional.
  13. After frying all in the similar way, cut them into triangular shapes and enjoy with ketchup or mayonnaise.
