ABOUT Sago Appe RECIPE

Sago appe is a low-fat recipe for fasting.This is very simple and easy recipe to make at home.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Soaked sago 1 cup
  2. Boiled and mashed potato 2 medium
  3. Finely chopped ginger 1 tbsp
  4. Finely chopped green chilli 1 tbsp
  5. Finely chopped coriander leaves 3 tbsps
  6. Yogurt 3 tbsps
  7. Sindha namak to taste
  8. Ghee 2 tsps

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl,add sago,mashed potato,chopped ginger,chopped green chilli,chopped coriander leaves,yogurt and sindha namak.
  2. Mix this well.
  3. Make dough out of it.
  4. Grease your hands with ghee and make small balls from the dough.
  5. Heat up appe pan and add a little ghee in each mould.
  6. Add balls in hot appe pan and cover it with a lid.
  7. Cook both sides for about 3-4 minutes,when they are golden in colour,remove appe in a plate.
  8. Serve hot with green chutney.
