Chili chicken is very popular appetizer in tamilnadu.It’s road side shop style.

Chili Chicken (Road Side Shop Style)

Ingredients to make Chili Chicken (Road Side Shop Style)

  • To marinade :
  • chicken - 400 grams
  • cornflour- 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 Tsp
  • coriander Powder-2 Tsp
  • Chili Powder-1.5 Tsp
  • pepper Powder-1/4 Tsp
  • Garam masala Powder -1/4 Tsp
  • ginger Garlic paste - 1 Tbsp
  • lemon juice - 1/4 Tsp
  • curry leaves - chopped 2 Tbsp
  • To cook
  • oil - To deep fry (2 cups)
  • curry leaves - Few

How to make Chili Chicken (Road Side Shop Style)

  1. Wash the chicken well and pat it using kitchen towel absorb excess water.
  2. Mix all ingredients under ‘ to marinade ‘ and keep aside for 30 minutes ,
  3. After 30 minutes chicken Ready For deep fry.
  4. Heat the oil for deep fry , keep the flame in medium high flame.
  5. Add Chicken pieces roast well , turn both sides occasionally to cook evenly.
  6. When chicken cooked well and outside layer turns crispy,Using strainer take the chicken out and spread in paper towel.
  7. Add curry leaves in hot oil and fry it and remove using oil strainer garnish the chilly chicken
  8. Chili chicken Roadside shop style Ready.

My Tip:

Tips 1.Can Use egg white (2Tbsp) inplace of cornflour. 2.Can Use rice flour inplace of cornflour.
