About Raw Mango Sweet Chutney Recipe

This is a sweet chutney served as dessert in Bengali cuisine. Made of Raw mango and boiled in sugar syrup. It really tastes very good.

Raw Mango Sweet Chutney

Ingredients to make Raw Mango Sweet Chutney

  • raw mango 2 medium size
  • 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup water.

How to make Raw Mango Sweet Chutney

  1. Cut the raw mangoes in cubes
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil and temper mustard seeds
  3. When the mustard seeds starts to pop up, add the mangoes Ana sauté for couple of minutes
  4. Add salt and sugar
  5. Sauté for 2 more minutes
  6. Add water and boil for 5 minutes then off the flame.
  7. Let it cool down then serve

My Tip:

Add water and sugar as per your taste. You can dry up the water even to give it a jam like texture.
