Restaurant type, side dish , made with paneer with the addition of onions, twice.

Paneer Dopeyaja

Ingredients to make Paneer Dopeyaja

  • paneer - 200gms cut into cubes
  • capsicum - 1 medium size diced
  • onion - 2 medium size diced
  • ginger paste - 2 tspn
  • onion paste - 2 tbspn
  • tomato paste- 2tbspn
  • Green chilli paste - 1 tspn
  • Kashmiri mirch powder - 1 tspn
  • Keshri methi - 2 tspn
  • Char-magaz paste - 2 tbspn
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tspn
  • turmeric pwder - 1/2 tspn
  • salt to taste
  • sugar - 1/2 tspn
  • mustard oil - 4-5 tbspn
  • Fresh cream (optional) - 1 tspn

How to make Paneer Dopeyaja

  1. Heat oil on kadai. Add diced onions and capsicums. Fry until onions become brownish.
  2. Add ginger paste, onion paste, tomato paste, chilli paste, Charmagaz paste. Saute for 4-5 min.
  3. Now add turmeric powder, salt, sugar, kashmiri mirch powder, garam masala powder. Saute for another 2-3 min.
  4. Add paneer cubes and pour 2 cups of water. Cover the lid and keep in low flame.
  5. After 5 min remove the cover and add keshri methi.
  6. Again cover with lid. Keep in medium flame for 2-3min.
  7. Your dish is ready. Before serving you can add fresh cream.
