About Chinese Banana Fritters Recipe

It is a popular desert in which ripe bananas are fried and then it is dipped in caramel sauce.

Chinese Banana Fritters

Ingredients to make Chinese Banana Fritters

  • Ripe bananas-4
  • Corn flour -1/2 cup
  • Refined flour -1/2 cup
  • Baking powder -1tbsp
  • sugar-1/2 Cup
  • honey-1tbsp
  • sesame seeds (Black or White) -1tbsp
  • Cooking oil
  • Dry Fruits ( pistachios, Cashews)

How to make Chinese Banana Fritters

  1. First peel the ripe banana and then cut it into slices.
  2. Take a bowl, add equal quantity of corn flour, refined flour and baking powder into it. Pour some water into it and make a medium thick smooth batter of it.
  3. Sprinkle some corn flour on the bananas and coat it with it. And then add the banana pieces into the batter and gently mix until completely coated in the batter.
  4. Take a kadhai, add some oil in it and heat it and then place the bananas into the oil and deep fry it until it become golden brown and then take it out.
  5. Now take a pan, place equal quantity of sugar and water into the pan, dissolve the sugar by continuous stirring it on low heat and then give it a boil on high flame and then add honey and roasted sesame seeds into it. Cook it until the mixture have a caramel colour and then switch off the flame.
  6. Then dip the banana fritters into the hot caramel. Turn each fritters over with a fork to coat all over, then remove immediately and plunge into a bowl of iced water. Remove the fritters from the water and leave it to drain for few minutes and then serve by garnishing it with some dry fruits.
