ABOUT Jhatpat Butter Popcorn on gas stove RECIPE

Its a very simple recipe and can be made by anyone in 5 minutes.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 cup dried corn kernels
  2. 2 tbsp oil
  3. A pinch of turmeric powder (optional)
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. In a thick bottom pan heat the oil.
  2. Add the dried corn kernels, turmeric powder (optional),salt.
  3. Cover the pan immediately.Make sure to cover the pan completely.
  4. You will hear spluttering sound of the dried corn kernels.
  5. Switch off the gas as soon as the popping/spluttering sound stops.
  6. Your popcorn is ready.Add butter when the popcorn is hot and serve hot.
