ABOUT Gujarati Puda( Rice flour Puda) RECIPE

Puda is a traditional Gujarati breakfast . Puda is prepared with gram flour / rice flour / with many variations . Healthy breakfast for all age groups .

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Rice flour 1 cup
  2. Salt as required
  3. Ginger garlic paste 1/4 teaspoon
  4. Green chilli long 1 finely chopped
  5. onion small 1 finely chopped
  6. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Water to mix batter 1 to 1.5 cups
  8. Cilantros finely chopped 1 tablespoon
  9. Oil 3 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Take 1 cup rice flour in a bowl . Add 1/4 teaspoon ginger garlic paste .
  2. Add salt as required.
  3. Add 1 long green chilli finely chopped.
  4. Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder . Add water gradually and mix the flour to form smooth batter .
  5. Batter is ready . The consistency is shown . Shouldn’t be thick nor too thin .
  6. Add 1 small onion finely chopped .
  7. Add 1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantros .
  8. Heat a iron tawa until smoke releases . Reduce the flame .
  9. Pour 1 ladle full batter on the hot tawa and spread like Uthappam .
  10. Smear a teaspoon oil.
  11. When the lower side turns crispy flip to another side .
  12. Now fry both sides till light brown spots visible . Repeat and cook rest of the pudas.
  13. Traditional Gujarati Rice flour Puda ready . Serve hot with any spicy chutney .
