  1. Channa dal 1 cup
  2. Water 1 ltr to cook
  3. Sugar 1 cup
  4. All-purpose flour 1 cup
  5. Cooking oil 1/4 cup for kanaka
  6. Cooking oil or ghee 1/4 cup to grease tava and sheets
  7. Water 3/4 cup for kanaka
  8. Salt a pinch

Instructions

  1. ADD CHANNA DAL INTO BOILING WATER
  2. STIR INBETWEEN
  3. CHECK THE COOKNESS, DRAIN THE WATER
  4. ADD A CUP OF SUGAR, MIX WELL, LET IT DISSOLVES COMPLETELY
  5. TAKE OFF FLAME WHEN THE CONSISTENCY COMES TO ONE THREAD
  6. GRIND UNTIL SMOOTH
  7. REMOVE THE DOUGH, MAKE EQUAL SIZED DOUGH BALLS
  8. COMBINE ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR 1 CUP, SALT A PINCH, WATER 1/2 CUP, MIX WELL
  9. ADD 1/4 CUP COOKING OIL, MIX WELL, COVER AND KEEP ASIDE FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES
  10. NOW PINCH AND ARRANGE KANAKA ON PLASTIC SHEET
  11. COVER THE DOUGH CAREFULLY WITH KANAKA
  12. COVER WITH ANOTHER SHEET, PAT SMOOTHLY
  13. REMOVE THE UPPER SHEET
  14. GREASE OIL TO HOT TAVA
  15. PLACE THE OBBATTU ON IT
  16. AFTER FEW SECONDS REMOVE THE SHEET
  17. FLIP AND FRY TILL ROAST
  18. REMOVE AND SERVE IN HOT
