ABOUT Korma roti RECIPE

A rajasthani delicacy, korma roti is parathas made up of spiced up whole wheat flour and ground lentils dough. It makes a good travel food too.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Dhuli moong dal 1/2 cup
  2. Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  3. Green coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  4. Ginger paste 1 tbsp
  5. Green chilies 2
  6. Salt 1 tesp
  7. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  8. Turmeric powder 1/4 tesp
  9. Carrom seeds 1/4 tesp
  10. Oil 2 tbsp + for frying

Instructions

  1. TAKE HALF CUP DHULI MOONG DAL IN GRINDER JAR.
  2. GRIND COARSELY ( APPROX 5 SECONDS).SOAK IN WATER FOR 3 HOURS.
  3. DRAIN OUT ALL EXCESS WATER.
  4. IN A KNEADING PLATE TAKE SOAKED DAL, 1 CUP WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR.
  5. 2 TBSP GREEN CORIANDER, 1 TBSP GINGER PASTE, 2 GREEN CHILIES.
  6. 1 TESP SALT, 1/2 TESP RED CHILLI POWDER, 1/4 TESP TURMERIC POWDER.
  7. 1/4 TESP CARROM SEEDS, 2 TBSP OIL.
  8. MIX.
  9. KNEAD INTO A DOUGH USING WATER AS NEEDED.
  10. REST THE DOUGH FOR 20 MINUTES.
  11. DIVIDE THE DOUGH INTO 8 BALLS AND ROLL EACH BALL INTO A DISC, DUSTING WITH FLOUR.
  12. PLACE A DISC ON HOT GRIDDLE.
  13. FLIP AND COOK FOR HALF MINUTE.
  14. APPLY SOME OIL AND COOK GOLDEN ON BOTH SIDES.
  15. APPLY SOME OIL AND COOK GOLDEN ON BOTH SIDES.
  16. SERVE WITH CURD, GREEN CHUTNEY.
