ABOUT Peas curry RECIPE

The curry is made with green peas and peas paste. You can add potatoes to enhance its taste. It goes well with rice.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Green peas paste - 4 cups
  2. Green peas - 1 cup
  3. Onions - 2
  4. Tomato -1
  5. Bay leaf -1
  6. Red chillies - 2
  7. Green chillies - 2
  8. Cumin seeds -1/2 tspn
  9. Ginger garlic -1 tspn
  10. Haldi - 1 tspn
  11. Chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
  12. Salt
  13. Water
  14. Oil

Instructions

  1. GRIND GREEN PEAS WITH WATER IN A GRINDER TO FORM PASTE
  2. HEAT OIL, ADD CUMIN SEEDS AND RED CHILLIES
  3. ADD GREEN CHILLIES AND BAY LEAF
  4. WHEN THEY CRACKLE, ADD ONIONS
  5. ADD GINGER GARLIC AND SAUTE
  6. NOW ADD GREEN PEAS AND ALLOW TO CRACKLE
  7. ADD HALDI, CHILLI POWDER
  8. ADD SALT SO THAT PEAS GET COOKED
  9. ADD THE PREPARED PEAS PASTE
  10. MIX WELL ALL THE INGREDIENTS
  11. COOK FOR 10 TO 15 MIN. IT WILL CHANGE COLOR
  12. NOW ADD SUFFICIENT WATER
  13. ALLOW IT TO BOIL FOR 20 MIN
