#earnwithbetterbutter.Soya granules or chunks is a very good protein provider for vegetarians like me.Instead of making the same old pulao using these chunks, this made a very good change and we all loved it very much with the rotis.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For koftas
  2. 2 cups boiled churned soya granules.
  3. 1 cup boiled potato
  4. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  5. 1 tsp green chilli paste
  6. 3 tsp cornflour
  7. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  8. 1 tsp chat masala
  9. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  11. 1 tsp coriander cumin powder
  12. salt as per taste
  13. oil for frying
  14. For gravy
  15. 1 bowl onion long slit
  16. 5 tsp oil
  17. 1 tap greenchilli ginger garlic paste
  18. 1 bowl tomato puree
  19. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  20. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  21. 1 tsp coriander powder
  22. 1 tbsp muskmelon seeds/khoya paste
  23. 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
  24. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 CUP SLICED ONIONS, SAUTE UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN
  2. ONCE BROWNED, ALLOW TO COOL A LITTLE, ADD TO A MIXER JAR, GRIND TILL SMOOTH, SET ASIDE
  3. TAKE 2 CUPS BOILED, SOYA GRANULES, 1 CUP BOILED, MASHED POTATOES, 1 TSP GINGER- GARLIC PASTE
  4. ADD 1 TSP GREEN CHILLI PASTE, 2 TSP CORNFLOUR, 1/2 TSP PEPPER POWDER
  5. ADD 1 TSP CHAT MASALA, 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER
  6. ADD 1 TSP CORIANDER-CUMIN POWDER, SALT TO TASTE
  7. MIX INTO A SMOOTH DOUGH, SHAPE SMALL BALLS
  8. DEEP FRY THE KOFTAS IN HOT OIL
  9. FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP, SET ASIDE
  10. HEAT 3 TSP OIL, ADD 1 TSP GREEN CHILLI- GINGER-GARLIC PASTE, 1 CUP TOMATO PUREE, SAUTE FOR 5-7 MINS
  11. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC, 1 TSP EACH OF RED CHILLI & CORIANDER-CUMIN POWDERS, MIX WELL
  12. ADD 1 TBSP EACH OF MUSKMELON SEEDS- KHOYA PASTE & THE READY FRIED ONION PASTE
  13. ADD SALT TO TASTE, MIX WELL
  14. ADD 1/2 CUP WATER, SIMMER FOR A FEW MINS
  15. ADD 1 TSP KASTURI METHI, MIX
  16. ADD THE FRIED KOFTAS, COOK FOR 2-3 MINS ON LOW HEAT
  17. SERVE HOT WITH RICE OR ROTIS
