Christmas Tree Beet Brownies

Take 1 big beet root . Peel skin and roughly chop into cubes .

Boil beet root cubes in 1 glass water until beet softens easing a fork to pierce in .Cool boiled

beet completely. Blend beet , 2 tablespoons beet water, 2 large eggs,

1 cup powdered jaggery ,

1 teaspoon vanilla essence ,

all together into a frothy smooth wet solution .

Transfer the wet solution to a wide bowl .Add 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter.Gently mix.

Meantime , take the thoroughly sifted dry ingredients . 2/3 cups whole wheat flour ,

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder ,

1.5 teaspoon baking powder.

Dry ingredients are sifted completely before use for a smooth textured brownies .

Coming to wet ingredients , add in the sifted dry ingredients gradually while gently mixing to form

cake batter . Add 4 tablespoons Hershey’s chocolate syrup.Mix batter with a spatula.Brownie batter

will neither be loose nor too tight. Transfer brownie batter into a butter greased baking tin .

Bake in a preheated Oven for 30 minutes at 175C . A slight moist toothpick ensures brownie is not

over baked . Moist brownie is ready . Cool completely before taking the brownie out from tin .

Slice brownies into equal triangles to resemble Christmas trees .

For frosting , take 1 cup chilled sweetened Whipped cream. Cream should stand stiff .Add 3 drops

green food gel,1/4 tsp vanilla essence.Mix.Use a spoon , draw zig zag lines on brownies as shown .

Finally top it up with sliced cherries as shown to give a Christmas tree appearance.
