Quick and easy chicken biryani to make at home in pressure cooker

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. chicken 250g
  2. Basmati rice 2 cups
  3. Marinate:
  4. curd 1/4 cup
  5. turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  6. salt 1 teaspoon
  7. Red chilly powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Biriyani
  9. Small cardamom 4-5
  10. Big cardamom 1
  11. clove 5-6
  12. cinnamon stick 2 inch
  13. Bay leaf 1
  14. onion 2, chopped
  15. tomato 2, chopped
  16. ginger 2 inch, grated
  17. garlic 5-6 Clove, grated
  18. Green chilies 3-4, slited
  19. coriander powder 2 tablespoon
  20. cumin powder 1 teaspoon
  21. Biriyani masala 1 teaspoon
  22. Dried mint leaves 1 teaspoon
  23. Salt and sugar as per taste
  24. curd 1/4 cup
  25. Refined oil

Instructions

  1. MARINATE 500 GMS CHICKEN WITH 3-4 TBSP CURD, 1 TSP EACH OF SALT, TURMERIC AND CHILLI POWDER FOR 30 MINS
  2. HEAT 4-5 TSP OIL. ADD 1 TSP WHOLE GARAM MASALA AND 2 BAY LEAVES
  3. ADD 2 CHOPPED ONIONS
  4. SAUTE THE ONIONS TILL THEY ARE TRANSLUCENT
  5. ADD 1 TBSP GRATED GINGER
  6. ADD 1 TBSP GRATED GARLIC
  7. ADD 2 TBSP CHOPPED TOMATOES AND 2 SLICED CHILLIES
  8. ADD 1 TBSP EACH OF CORIANDER, CUMIN, CHILLI AND GARAM MASALA POWDER
  9. ADD SALT AND SUGAR AS PER TASTE
  10. ADD 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER. MIX WELL.
  11. POUR IN 1/2 CUP CURD
  12. ADD THE MARINATED CHICKEN. STIR WELL.
  13. ADD 2 CUPS OF RICE WITH 2 AND 1/2 CUP OF WATER
  14. PRESSURE COOK TILL 3 WHISTLES BLOW
  15. IT'S READY TO BE SERVED!
