ABOUT Arachuvita sambar RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Channa dal 2 tsp
  2. Urad dal 2 tsp
  3. methi 1 tsp
  4. coconut 1/4 cup
  5. Red chillies 6
  6. coriander seeds 2 tbsp
  7. curry leaves
  8. coriander leaves
  9. hing
  10. turmeric Powder
  11. Green chillies 2
  12. Tuvr dal 1/2 cup
  13. tomatoes 2
  14. Veggies of your choice
  15. salt
  16. tamarind pulp

Instructions

  1. SOAK LEMON SIZE TAMARIND
  2. PRESSURE COOK TUVR DAL AND TOMATOES
  3. ADD OIL. ADD CHANNA DAL AND URAD DAL. SAUTE WELL
  4. ADD METHI, CORIANDER SEEDS AND RED CHILLIES. SAUTE WELL
  5. ADD COCONUT AND COOL THE MIXTURE
  6. GRIND THE MASALA
  7. ADD OIL. WHEN IT IS HOT ADD MUSTARD, METHI AND JEERA.
  8. ADD VEGGIES, GREEN CHILLIES AND CURRY LEAVES. SAUTE WELL
  9. ADD THE MASALA TO VEGGIES AND SAUTE WELL
  10. ADD TAMARIND EXTRACT
  11. ADD HING, TURMERIC POWDER AND SALT. MIX WELL
  12. PRESSURE COOK THE VEGGIES FOR 3 WHISTLES
  13. WHEN PRESSURE RELEASES, ADD MASHED TUVR DAL AND TOMATOES
  14. ADD GHEE AND CORIANDER LEAVES
