ABOUT Green (Bathua) Raita RECIPE

Bathua is quite versatile and the taste goes very well with almost everything. You can serve with chapati and poori. Bathua is rich in Vitamin A, Vit C, Improved Appetite Rich in Iron so improves Hemoglobin level, rich in amino acids, effective against the formation of kidney stone, is a good blood purifier.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Bathua sag 250 gms
  2. Yogurt 2 cups
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Black salt 1/4 tsp
  5. Hing a pinch
  6. Mustured oil 1 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder 1 /4 tsp
  8. Cumin seeds 1 /4 tsp
  9. Musturd seeds 1/4 seeds

Instructions

  1. CLEAN, SORT 250 GMS BATHUA LEAVES
  2. BLANCH THEM IN 1 CUP WATER
  3. COVER & COOK FOR 5 MINS
  4. TAKE OFF HEAT, KEEP TO COOL
  5. DRAIN & GRIND IN A MIXIE JAR
  6. MAKE A SMOOTH PASTE
  7. WHISK 2 CUPS CURD
  8. ADD 1/4 TSP EACH OF CHILLI POWDER, ROASTED CUMIN POWDER, BLACK SALT & SALT TO TASTE
  9. MIX WELL
  10. ADD 2 TBSP BATHUA PUREE, MIX
  11. HEAT 1 TSP OIL, ADD 1/4 TSP EACH OF CUMIN, MUSTARD & ASAFOETIDA
  12. ADD SIZZLING TADKA TO THE CURD MIX
