Vati Dal na Khaman is a traditional Gujarati snack. It's made from whole soaked chana dal which is full of protein so it's very healthy and also tasty.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 2 cup Bengal gram / chana dal
  2. 500 ml water
  3. 1tbsp chilly ginger paste
  4. salt to taste
  5. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  7. 1/4 tsp citric acid
  8. Chopped coriander as per required
  9. For tadka
  10. 1 tbsp oil
  11. 1 tsp mustered seeds
  12. 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  13. 3-4 Chopped green chilly
  14. coriander chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. 2 CUP BENGAL GRAM /CHANA DAL
  2. ADD 500 ML WATER OR AS PER REQUIRED TO SOAK
  3. SOAK OVER NIGHT
  4. IN MIXTURE JAR TAKE SOAK BENGAL GRAM AND 1 GLASS OF WATER AND CRUSH IT
  5. 1 TBSP CHILLY GINGER PASTE , SALT AS PER TASTE, 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  6. 1BOWL SOUR CURD, 1/4 TSP CITRIC ACIDE, 1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
  7. MIX
  8. ADD 1 BOWL BUTTER MILK
  9. GREASE THE THALI WITH OIL
  10. POUR DHOKLA BATTER
  11. KEEP IN DHOKLA STAND
  12. COOK IT FOR 15 -20 MINUTES
  13. CUT IN SQUARE
  14. HEAT 1TBSP OIL IN KADHAI
  15. 1 TSP MUSTERED SEEDS AND 1 TBSP SESAME SEEDS
  16. WHEN IT CRACKLING ADD 3 CHOPPED GREEN CHILLY AND DHOKLA
  17. MIX IT
  18. SERVE AND GARNISH WITH CORIANDER
