Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Wheat and barely ( broken) 500 gm
  2. Chana dal 500 g
  3. Urad dal 100 gm
  4. Masoor dal 100 gm
  5. Arhar dal 100 g
  6. Rice 100 g
  7. Mutton 1 kg
  8. Onion 4 slice
  9. Ginger garlic paste 4 tablespoon
  10. Red chili powder 3 teaspoon
  11. Turmeric powder 3 teaspoon
  12. Salt according to your taste
  13. Cinnamon 4
  14. Bay leaves 6
  15. Garam masala powder 1 tablespoon
  16. Oil 250 g
  17. Green chili 10 chopped
  18. Coriander leaves a bunch (chopped)


  1. In a pressure cooker add wheat and barley add 1 teaspoon turmeric and pressure cooked till its become soft and tender
  2. In a pressure cooker add chana dal along with all other pulses and rice now pressure cooked till all become soft and tender so its easy to mashed
  3. Heat oil in a cooker add 2 tablespoon onion saute till golden color now add cinnamon and bay leaves now add mutton saute for a while
  4. Now add red chili turmeric and salt now pressure cooked mutton till its become soft
  5. Now open a lid of mutton saute till oil comes from sides or above
  6. Now remove this oil in another pan and keep a side
  7. Now in a big pot add wheat and barely mashed it well now add chana dal mixture and mashed it all well
  8. Now add mutton masala in it mix it well on low flame
  9. Now take a pan (in which you keep oil ) add remaining onion saute till brown color when its done remove from oil and make a paste
  10. Now add this paste in a whole mixture and mix well
  11. Now add garam masala, green chili and coriander mix well and stir continuously.
  12. When boil come off the flame
  13. Now heat a oil in pan and pour it on a haleem
  14. Serve hot with lemon
