Crispy fried prawns sauteed in spicy chilli with garlic sauce

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 gms prawn
  2. 2 tablespoons finely chopped Ginger
  3. 2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic
  4. 2 tablespoons finely chopped green chilies
  5. 1 teaspoon dry red chilly flakes
  6. 1 onion, diced
  7. 2 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  8. 2 teaspoon sweet chilly sauce
  9. 1 cup water
  10. Few chopped coriander leaves
  11. 2 teaspoon cornflour, dissolved in 50ml water
  12. 2 tablespoons oil
  13. Salt
  15. 1 egg beaten
  16. 4 tablespoons cornflour
  17. 2 teaspoon soy sauce
  18. Salt


  1. Take the prawns in a mixing bowl. Add all the ingredients given under “to marinate & fry”. Mix well and keep it aside for 15 min.
  2. Heat oil for deep frying. Fry the marinated prawns and drain on paper towel. Keep aside.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wide pan. Add finely chopped garlic, finely chopped ginger, finely chopped green chilies, diced onion and saute well on high flame for a min.
  4. Then add in the dry red chili flakes, soya sauce, tomato chili sauce, chopped coriander leaves, salt and 1 cup water. Mix well and cook for a min.
  5. Then add the fried prawns and corn flour mixture. Stir fry on high flame for 3 min. Remove from heat.
  6. Garnish with spring onions and serve hot with fried rice.
