ABOUT Chicken HongKong RECIPE

Chicken Hong Kong is a special chicken recipe inspired by ingredients and techniques from Hong Kong. The spicy Chicken Hong Kong involves a blend of tasty ingredients like soya sauce, eggs, cornflour, white pepper powder, red chilli paste and vinegar.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Boneless Chicken 300gm
  2. Egg 1
  3. Ginger 1"chopped
  4. Garlic 2tsp chopped
  5. Dry Red chilli 2
  6. White pepper powder 2tsp
  7. Red chilli paste 1tbsp
  8. Soya sauce 1 tsp
  9. Red chilli sauce 1tsp
  10. Vinegar 1 tsp
  11. Cornflour 3tsp
  12. Sugar 1 pinch
  13. Chicken stock 1/2cup
  14. Chopped spring onions 4tbsp
  15. Oil as needed
  16. Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Whisk one egg.
  2. Marinate chicken with salt, pepper, cornflour and half of the whisked egg.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the chicken pieces. Keep aside.
  4. For sauce- Heat oil in the same pan, add ginger, garlic, red chilli and saute for 30sec.
  5. Add red chilli paste, soya sauce, red chilli sauce, chicken stock, vinegar, chopped spring onion and mix.
  6. Add the fried chicken pieces, salt, pepper, sugar and cook few mins.
  7. Now add the cornflour slurry and stir till gravy thickens.
  8. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
