Potato Fry

Ingredients to make Potato Fry

  • Boiled potatoes 3 large,peeled and cut to 1/2"size.
  • 2 medium sized onions sliced.
  • 1 big ripe tomato chopped
  • 1 1/2 tesp ginger garlic paste
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2tesp turmeric powder
  • 3 tesp chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Seasoning : 4 tbsp oil, 1/2 tesp mustard seeds and 1 tesp urad dal.

How to make Potato Fry

  1. Keep Kadai on medium heat and pour oil.
  2. Add mustard and urad dal,wait for mustard to spluter and urad dal to turn light brown.
  3. Put curry leaves and ginger garlic paste and saute .
  4. Add onions saute till light brown.
  5. To it add tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes
  6. Add turmeric,salt and chilli powder.Add water ,mix well,let simmer for 5 to 8 minutes.
  7. Increase the heat,add in the potatoes and deep fry for 10 to 15 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve with sambar or curd rice.
