ABOUT Chuda Ghasa RECIPE

A special preparation made from beaten rice flakes on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and Saraswati Puja !!

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup Beaten rice flakes
  2. 1 cup finely grated coconut
  3. 3-4 tsp ghee
  4. 4-5 tsp sugar
  5. 1 pinch of food grade camphor
  6. 1/2 cup thin cucumber slices

Instructions

  1. Grind the beaten rice flakes in a mixer-grinder to a coarse consistency. Transfer to a plate/ flat surface. Add the sugar and ghee.
  2. Rub the mixure between the fingers so that it forms coarse granules. ( This is the toughest and most time consuming part ). The ghee and sugar should get mixed evenly .
  3. Add the grated coconut, cucumber slices and the powdered camphor. Mix throughly . Sprinkle a little amount of water if it feels too dry.
  4. Consume within a day or two as the moisture content of the grated coconut and cucumber makes it soggy.
