ABOUT Eggless Bread Pudding RECIPE

This is a delicious recipe of bread pudding, which is eggless. A perfect dinner party desert.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 6 slices of bread
  2. 1 +1/2cup milk
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 1/3 cup custard powder
  5. 1/4 cup milk powder
  6. 1 tablespoon ghee

Instructions

  1. First remove the sides of the bread slices
  2. Then grind to make crumbs of slices in grinder
  3. Heat a cake tin or any steel or aluminum container to caramelize the sugar
  4. Caramalize 2 tablespoon of sugar (which i have taken from 1 cup of sugar) with 2 teaspoon of water
  5. Stir continuously till sugar gets brown colour
  6. avoid over caramaliztion remove from the heat and keep the tin aside
  7. Take a pan add sugar in it
  8. Add milk
  9. Boil till sugar dissolves
  10. Add custard powder slowly in 3 batches of 1 tablespoon to avoid lumps
  11. Then add milk powder
  12. Mix with continuous stirring
  13. Cook till you get thick consistency
  14. Immediately off the flame
  15. add bread crumbs
  16. if the batter becomes thick stop adding crumbs .
  17. The batter should be of pouring consistency
  18. Put 1 glass of water in a steamer/ idli stand or in a big vessel
  19. add little more water so that the tin do not touches the bottom
  20. Place a steel bowl or plate or stand over it .
  21. Pour the batter over the tin of caramalized sugar
  22. Place this tin on the plate
  23. Cover the steamer and let it cook on medium to simmer for 35 to 40 mins
  24. Check after 20 minutes if the water reduced then add more half glass of water in the steamer
  25. Demould the pudding just we do for the cake
  26. Cut in to slices and serve hot

Pls tell when to add ghee? And should we grease the tin before adding batter
