ABOUT Custard Bread Pudding RECIPE

Instant pudding prepared with left over bread slices and an instant caramel custard powder.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 10-12 slices of bread.
  2. 1 packet of instant caramel custard pudding
  3. Milk 3&1/2 cups
  4. Fresh cream 1 cup
  5. Chocolate powder 3 -6 tbsp


  1. Cut sides of bread and place in a square container, make two layers of bread, cover the whole tray with bread slices.
  2. I used " Greens " instant caramel custard pudding. Prepare the pudding as per the instructions on the packet. In a saucepan, add milk and boil. When it comes to boil, add the packet of custard powder.
  3. When still hot, pour it over the bread slices, let it soak. Pierce using knife and release all the air. The custard should soak the bread completely.
  4. Let it cool, and then keep it in fridge.
  5. Beat fresh cream in a bowl till peaks form and apply the beaten cream over the pudding.
  6. Using a strainer sprinkle the cocoa or chocolate powder all over the pudding.
  7. Keep it in fridge to cool.
  8. Cut and serve.

What about sugar or any sweetener in custard
