ABOUT Dahi bonda Tadaka RECIPE

This is a quick recipe of dahi bonda, with a tempering. A perfect evening snack for all tea times.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1/2 ltr curd
  2. 1/4 kg urad dal paste (soak in water for couple of hours and then blend to make a paste)
  3. 2 tsp green chutney
  4. 1 tsp sweet red chutney
  5. 1/2 tsp salt
  6. Tadaka :
  7. mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  8. cumin seeds [jeera] - 1 tsp
  9. curry leaves - 10
  10. chili slices - 2
  11. Oil
  12. Coriander leaves [for garnishing]
  13. Cooking soda [1 pinch]
  14. 1/4 th cup milk

Instructions

  1. Take Dal batter add soda,salt mix well keep a side
  2. Heat ample amount of oil in the wok, put dumplings of the batter , to form the bondas.
  3. Fry till golden brown and strain.
  4. Keep a bowl pour milk and water( 1/4:1/4 ). dip bondas in them.
  5. Repeat the same process of all bondas
  6. Take another bowl put thick curd
  7. Add salt ,then squeeze the bondas to remove the extra water and then put them into curd
  8. Add green,red chutney's on top
  9. For tadaka::
  10. Take a pan add oil ,put mustard,jera,curry leaves ,chili slices
  11. This tadaka should added on top of dahi bondas
  12. Ready to serve dahi bonda tadaka
