It's a very popular Eastern Arab traditional dessert which is made of phyllo dough or ver.micilli soaked in sugar syrup and baked and served warm its a very yummy dish everyone should try this..... Who's a sweet cheese lover dessert

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sugar 300ml
  2. Water 150ml
  3. Lemon juice 15ml
  4. Ver.micilli 350gm
  5. Melted butter 150gm
  6. Qalakand or barfi or rabdi 150gm
  7. Mava khoya 150gm
  8. Mozzarella cheese 200gm
  9. Almond or pista for garnish 50gms


  1. preheat oven to 200c.
  2. In a bowl mix 150gmz of vermicelli and add. Half of Melted butter to it and mix well. And spread it in a glass dish as first layer and level it press it evenly.
  3. .Add kalakand then khoya and spread it on top of vermicilli and Cov er with cheese.
  4. Top the next layer again with left over vermicilli and top with nuts.
  5. Bake it in a preheated oven for 20mts.
  6. Invert kunafa in the glass dish in a serving plate and pour the sugar syrup to a warm baked kunafa and serve...
  7. Preparation of sugar syrup
  8. In a pan add sugar water and lemon juice and keep for boiling and wen its melted remove and keep aside to cool.
