ABOUT Baked Chicken Pie RECIPE

Tempting chicken mixed with spices, wrapped in a pastry pie!!!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour 1 cup
  2. warm milk 3/4 cup
  3. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil 1 tbsp
  6. Instant yeast 1 tsp
  7. For Filling
  8. Chicken 350 gm
  9. Onion 1 cup
  10. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  11. Garlic chopped 1 tsp
  12. Green chilly chopped 4
  13. black pepper powder 1 tsp
  14. Red chilly powder 1tsp
  15. All spice powder 1 tsp
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Egg 1
  18. Shredded cheese as needed
  19. Olive oil 2tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl ad all purpose flour, Salt, oil and instant yeast.
  2. Mix well, and using warm milk knead a smooth dough.
  3. Cover and rest aside for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet with 2 tbsp olive oil over medium heat.
  5. Ad chopped onion and garlic ,stirr and saute until onions are translucent .
  6. Ad chopped green chilly and saute for few seconds.
  7. Ad black pepper powder, red chilly powder, all spices powder and salt to taste.
  8. Saute all spices for couple of minutes. Remove onto a bowl and set aside.
  9. In same pan, ad chicken pieces ,and saute until chicken change color.
  10. Ad ginger garlic paste, prepared all spice mix,little water, stir and cook everything together until chicken tenders.
  11. Once done, remove from heat and let it cool completely.
  12. Uncover pie dough and knead for couple of minutes.
  13. Take out some portion from dough and dust flour on the rolling surface, roll out the dough into a very thin round circle.
  14. Brush butter on the top surface, flip it over and ad chicken filling in the center of the sheet.
  15. Ad a layer of shredded cheese
  16. Close in the sides of, a round sheet in your hand ,twist the bottom and tuck in the half underneath.
  17. Repeat and make all pies like this.
  18. Pre heat the oven to 180 degree for 5 minute.
  19. Place parchment paper on baking tray, grease with oil.
  20. Transfer the pies onto a baking tray, brush them with egg wash.
  21. Bake in the oven for 180 degree for 25 minutes.
  22. Remove from oven and let it cool down.
  23. Enjoy this pies as a light meal.
