About Kabuli pulao Recipe

A delicious pulao, made with a variety of spices to be served with raita or curry,

Kabuli pulao

Ingredients to make Kabuli pulao

  • 8 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 cup capsicum
  • sugar 4 tablespoons
  • Kishmish 50 grams
  • almond 100 grams
  • 2 onion slices
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 4 chilies
  • chicken 500 grams
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Whole cumin
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 cup curd
  • rice 700 grams
  • chicken stok 200 mili liter
  • water as required

How to make Kabuli pulao

  1. Soak rice for 1 hour
  2. Heat a pan, add 3 tablespoons oil
  3. Then add red belpapper , 3 tablespoons sugar, raisin, almond and fry all these
  4. In another wok heat 5 tablespoons oil
  5. Add slice Onion, fry till golden brown
  6. Add ginger and garlic paste, mix well
  7. Then add chilies , cloves , cinnamon , cardamom and mix
  8. Add chicken and cook for few seconds
  9. Add salt, whole cumin, cumin powder, coriander powder, curd and sugar, mix these
  10. When chicken cooked, all chicken pieces bring out from wok and keep aside
  11. In this gravy add chicken stock & water as required
  12. When water became boil add soaked rice and chicken, mix all
  13. Cover the wok with lid
  14. Steam for 15 Minutes in low flame
  15. After 15 minutes open lid and add fried belpepper on the top
  16. Again cover with lid and keep for 2 minutes
  17. After 2 minutes open lid, mix all again and serve hot in a plate
