ABOUT Seasoned Curd Rice( Thalicha Thayir Sadam) RECIPE

Seasoned curd rice with pickle is an awesome combo.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Cooked rice 1 1/2 cups
  2. Milk 1/4 cup
  3. Yogurt 1 1/4 cup
  4. Salt as per taste
  5. 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  6. Seasoning or tempering :
  7. 1/2 tesp mustard seeds
  8. 1/2 tesp urad dal
  9. 1 tesp minced ginger
  10. few curry leaves
  11. red chilli 3
  12. few cashew nut pieces
  13. 2 tesp oil

Instructions

  1. Mash the cooked rice adding milk
  2. Add the yogurt and salt ,mix well
  3. Place a tadka with oil on low flame ,add mustard, urad dal, cashew,red chilli and curry leaves.
  4. Once it splutters add it to the curd rice
  5. Add the ginger and coriander leaves ,mix well.
  6. Curd rice is ready to serve with pickle.
