ABOUT Dahi chicken RECIPE

Dahi chicken is a curry made with yoghurt and chicke, to be served with some rice or roti.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken 500 gms
  2. Curd 100 gms
  3. Mustered oil 4 tbsp
  4. Potato large 3 pieces
  5. Sugar 1 tsp
  6. Salt as per required
  7. Onion 3 large
  8. Garlic+ginger paste 2 tsp
  9. Gorom masala powder 1 tsp
  10. Cumin powder+dhania powder 2 tsp
  11. Kashmiri lal mirch 2 tsp
  12. Red chili powder 3 tsp
  13. Green Chili 3
  14. Ghee 1 tbsp


  1. First wash the chicken
  2. Marinet the chicken with little amount of salt+turmeric+sour dahi
  3. Fry the potato with turmeric+salt
  4. Aside the potato
  5. Then add more oil in karai
  6. Add sugar untill caramel the sugar
  7. Add the onion and fry untill brown
  8. Add garlic+ginger paste+turmeric powder +salt+cumin+dhania powder+kashmiri+red chilli powder
  9. Then fry untill oil discharge
  10. Then add potato+marinate chicken
  11. Fry untill oil well discharge
  12. Then add water+green chili+garam masala powder
  13. After boil the water lid the cover
  14. Simmer the gas untill meat+potato tender
  15. Adjust the salt
  16. After full boil the meat+potato add the ghee
  17. After 1 mins off the gas
  18. Dahi chicken is ready to serve
