About Jujubes Recipe

These are soft gummy candies made with gelatin & different fruit flavours.


Ingredients to make Jujubes

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tbsp Gelatin
  • 1/2 cup water for soaking
  • Food colour / Emulsion of you choice
  • Fruit flavour essence
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • sugar for coating jujube's

How to make Jujubes

  1. Soak Gelatin in 1/2 cup of water.
  2. In a heavy bottomed pan put 1/2 cup of water & add 2 cups of sugar.
  3. Boil it till the sugar dissolves completely.
  4. Now add soaked gelatin in the boiling syrup and simmer it for flat 15 minutes.
  5. Don't forget to stir in between.
  6. Allow it to cool for few minutes.
  7. Add lemon juice to it.
  8. Take small glass / plastic bowl/.
  9. Divide this mixture to 3 portion's & add your favorite colour and flavour in it & mix well.
  10. Put this mixture into flat bottomed tray / bowl & set it in fridge for 4 hours or over night.
  11. When it is set properly cut it to your favorite shape with the help of wet knife.
  12. Put the sugar in plate and cover jujubes with sugar evenly.
  13. Now the jujubes are ready .
