ABOUT Ber (Jujube) Pickle RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 500 gm - Ber
  2. 1 Cup - Jaggery
  3. Salt to taste
  4. 3 tsp - Saunf (roasted and crushed)
  5. 1 tsp - Red chilli powder
  6. 1tsp - Oil
  7. 1/2 tsp - Rai

Instructions

  1. Put cut marks on bers and keep in strong sunlight for at least 3 to 4 days.
  2. Heat oil in a kadhayi and crackle some rai. Add dry ber, jaggery, a cup of water, salt, red chilli powder and cook till water dries up. Now add roasted, crushed saunf.
  3. Turn off the gas and take out the pickle in a glass bottle. It is ready to serve.
