Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. kulthi daal 1 cup
  2. turmeric powder 1 tsp
  3. salt
  4. tomato 2 sliced
  5. brinjal 1 diced
  6. oil 2 tablespoon
  7. red chilli 2
  8. garlic 15 cloves
  9. coriander leaves chopped 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. wash the dal and pressure cook with salt,turmeric powder,tomato and brinjal
  2. pressure cook in low flame for 4-5 whistles as it takes some time to cook
  3. take a pan and heat oil
  4. add mustard seeds,red chilli and crushed garlic and sauté for 1 min
  5. add this tempering to the dal
  6. add chopped coriander leaves
  7. serve hot with rice
