After a long break, I have got the time to upload a new dessert recipe. During my pregnancy, I heard someone mention 'meetha boondi' in a movie. I started craving for it and had to make it myself as we live outside India.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup besan
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 1/4 cup water
  4. A pinch of salt
  5. oil for frying boondi
  6. boondi maker


  1. Seive the besan so that no more granules left.
  2. Then add water to this to make batter.
  3. Make syrup adding 1/4 cup water and whole sugar.
  4. To know whether perfect boondi are made or not, we have to check the batter.
  5. Heat Oil, dip one end of spoon in batter n put one drop into the oil.
  6. If it is taking more time to come to the top, then batter is not good.
  7. Add little more water and repeat the same process.
  8. If boondi is round but heavy then again you have to add little more water to make it light.
  9. Now the batter is perfect, put the batter in boondi maker and slowly put the batter into oil to form boondis.
  10. Now put these boondis in the sugar syrup and mix well.
  11. Hot mitha boondi is ready to serve.
