Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup besan
  2. 1 tbsp bajra flour
  3. 1 tbsp rice flour
  4. 1 tbsp semolina
  5. 1 tsp red chili powder
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1 tsp kasuri methi
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  10. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  11. 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes and onions
  12. Oil to shallow fry
  13. Brown bread slices 8
  14. Stuffing / filling : 1 cup sliced cucumber, onions and tomatoes
  15. Chat masala to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add flours, dry spices ,onions and tomatoes. Mix well
  2. Add water and mix well to form smooth thick batter
  3. Cut the bread slices into triangles
  4. Dip bread slices in the batter and shallow fry over hot tawa on both sides until golden brown
  5. Arrange sliced cucumber, onions and tomatoes over pudla bread slices. Sprinkle chat masala on top.
  6. Cover with another pudla bread to form sandwich. Serve warm with hot tea.
